Karina Puente, a local Santa Ynez Valley artist with a national reputation, wanted to be a part of the project to raise money to assist vineyard and farm worker families.
So, she used the great talent she has to create an original art work to serve as a label for the Longoria Syrah entry of the 2008 Vino de Sueños wines. She then recruited six of her friends to create additional original art works to serve as labels for the remaining wines. Each of these art works is being donated to People Helping People and the Vino de Sueños project and will be auctioned at the November 1st release celebration to raise additional revenue. The dream “icon” at the center of each label that serves to brand the Vino de Sueños wines is also an original work of art by Ms. Puente.
